Happy New Year! I've been a State Farm agent for 35 years, and I am thrilled to continue serving our community in the coming year.

My father, Joe Portillo, was also a State Farm agent for 25 years, and his dedication to helping customers inspired me to follow in his footsteps. I am proud to say that it truly runs in the family. Graduating from UTEP in the class of 1986, where I played for the UTEP football team, has taught me the value of teamwork and perseverance. Besides being an agent, I am grateful to be a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Both of our children have also chosen to work for State Farm, making it a family affair. When I'm not working, my family and I enjoy quality time at home or embarking on adventures to visit our children, grandchildren, and even our grand-dog.
